Q. What services are included in “Tus Brazos Hermanos™”?

A. The collection of the body or remains in the United States; embalming; coffin; paperwork, permits and costs with authorities of both governments; repatriation (by airplane) to the place of origin or place designated by the insured member, transfers and delivery to the domicile of the family members or place of burial. Additionally, once the costs of the above mentioned benefits are covered, the beneficiaries will receive a cash benefit of up to $3,000 of the remaining balance of the insured amount of $10,000 dollars.

Q. Are there any additional payments that need to be made to request or obtain these benefits?

A. No. The repatriation insurance and “Tus Brazos Hermanos™” membership cover all of the related expenses for the described services.

Q. Is “Tus Brazos Hermanos™” insurance?

A. Unlike other Repatriation “Programs” or “Certificates”, “Tus Brazos Hermanos™” is backed by an insurance policy underwritten by a legitimate insurance company established and regulated in the United States.

Q. My contract is for one year. Can I buy it for a longer term?

A. No. The term is always for one year and does not renew automatically. Once it expires another contract can be purchased if the conditions are met.

Q. What are the requisites or conditions?

A. To be between 18 and 68 years of age and in good health.

Q. Is a medical examination required?

A. No. At the time of purchasing “Tus Brazos Hermanos™” the member declares in good faith to be in good health.

Q. Which are the reasons for exclusion?

A. Service is excluded if:

  1. Payment for membership dues and premium is not made.
  2. When the member is younger than 18 years of age or older than 68 years 11 months.

Q. What causes of death are excluded?

A. The service is provided only in the event of Accidental Death. Coverage is excluded for the following reasons:

  1. Suicide;
  2. Act of war;
  3. Injury or death caused by armed conflict;
  4. Covered Person being under the influence of alcohol, drugs or intoxicants, unless taken on the advise of a Physician;
  5. Riding or driving in any kind of race;
  6. Participating in a riot, felony or assault;
  7. Sickness or disease or medical or surgical treatment including diagnosis, except when due to injury caused by a covered accident;
  8. Bacterial infections except when caused by an accident or medical treatment of an accidental injury;
  9. Accident occurring while the Covered Person is serving in any Armed Forces;
  10. Travel or flight in, or getting in or out of an aircraft.

Q. Are the contract or membership transferrable?

A. No. Service is only provided to the original member (covered person). The contract is personal and non-transferrable.

Q. Can I get this service for my family?

A. Yes. Each of your family members and friends can obtain this services but each one must purchase their membership to “Tus Brazos Hermanos™” and be between 18 and 68 years of age.

Q. What happens if my family is no longer in Mexico and I wish to be transfered somewhere else for my final rest?

A. This service provides repatriation to Mexico or transfer anywhere within the United States.

Q. What happens if the member passes away outside the United States?

A. Service is provided only when the member passes away in the United States and excluded if elsewhere.

Q. What happens if I change my address?

A. You can communicate with our Customer Service Department 24 hrs a day, 365 days a year at the numbers provided in the contract and on this website to notify of your change of address or any other information. Nevertheless, failing to notify of this change doesn’t exclude coverage or benefits.

Q. Why is a beneficiary needed?

A. You can name up to two beneficiaries. The company will contact the beneficiary or beneficiaries to coordinate the repatriation and delivery of the remains. Also, they will be the ones to receive the cash benefit of up to $3,000 as described in the contract.

Q. What happens if the beneficiary changes their address?

A. It is very important that you always provide and update your beneficiaries’ information. You can always request the change of beneficiary or beneficiaries and change of addresses.

Q. What do the beneficiaries or family members need to do to request service?

A. After notifying the authorities they must contact the company’s Customer Service Department by calling the toll free numbers provided in the contract and provide the name of the deceased member, certificate (policy) number, location of the remains and confirm where they want the body to be repatriated and delivered.

Q. Can the beneficiaries or family members request that the remains be taken somewhere other than the place of origin of the deceased member?

A. The beneficiaries may request the body or mortal remains to be taken anywhere in Mexico or within the United States.

Q. What are the hours of service?

A. 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Q. How long does it usually take to repatriate the remains?

A. On average it takes 7 days but the family members should not worry about any delays because the body will be embalmed.

Q. How long will an embalmed body last?

A. Up to 30 days.

Q. Can the family members or beneficiaries request the cremation of the mortal remains instead of embalming?

A. The service does not include cremation. Nevertheless, at their request and expense the company can coordinate this service.

Q. Can I buy this service for someone else?

A. No. The membership and insurance contract must be purchased by the covered person. However, payments can be made by anyone.

Q. What if the covered person is disabled and can’t sign?

A. If the covered person is disabled a legal representative may sign for them.

Q. Is this service provided by any government, non-profit or governmental institution?

A. No. “Tus Brazos Hermanos™” is provided by private American and Mexican companies.
